What is meze?
Meze is not a course. Meze is an evening.
Many small plates instead of one big one: meze means sharing, tasting, staying a while.
You start with a few cold meze – creamy hummus, garlicky haydari, spicy acılı ezme – and let warm ones follow: stuffed vine leaves, su böreği, mantı with garlic yogurt. Add fresh bread (included with your first order), a glass of çay or rakı. Rule of thumb: 3–4 meze per person – sharing is the point.

Good to know
How many meze should we order per person?
As a rule of thumb: 3–4 meze per person, mixed cold and warm – and then you share. Our team is happy to advise you at the table.
Are there vegetarian and vegan dishes?
Yes, a wide choice – from hummus and zeytinyağlı fasulye to mercimek köfte. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked on the menu.
Do I need to reserve?
Recommended, especially in the evening and at weekends. Online requests need at least 48 hours notice – for short notice just call +49 7071 6399222.
Do you offer catering?
Yes, our party service is available for celebrations, company events and special occasions – just talk to us.
From what time is food served?
We open at 16:30, the kitchen starts at 17:30. Sunday is our day off.
Where can I park?
In the side streets around the Österberg (limited); on foot we are just a few minutes from the town centre.
